Friday, April 28 will be the last day the Bothell Passport Office will be open to issue passports. There are more than 20 locations in King County where citizens may obtain a passport. See the link below for a list of locations.
The Passport Office receives about $3,000 per month in passport fees, well short of funding for a staff position to provide this service. The City decided to close the Passport Office to better focus on providing local services, rather than federal services.
Passport days and hours
The Passport Office is only open one day/week:
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Where to apply for a passport
The Passport Office is located inside the Bothell Municipal Courthouse (one block east of City Hall, and next to the Police Department). See address at right.
The U.S. government requires all travelers to present a passport for entry or re-entry into the United States.
