Bothell Maintains Aa2 Credit Rating

Moody's Annual Issuer Comment as of March 7, 2019


Bothell's credit position is very good. Its Aa2 rating slightly exceeds the median rating of Aa3 for US cities. Notable credit factors include a large tax base with a strong wealth and income profile, a solid financial position, and manageable debt and pension burdens. Moody's Credit Rating (PDF) 

CAFR Award

Bothell's commitment to outstanding achievement is recognized nationally. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Bothell annually since 2001. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the City of Bothell and its management.
