Human Resources

The Human Resources Department provides centralized oversight and administration of City compensation and benefits, employment policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.

Day to day functions also include:
  • Oversight and coordination of recruitment and selection processes for civil service and non-civil service positions
  • New employee orientation to review City employment policies, salaries and benefits
  • Administration of benefits
  • Processing of semi-monthly payroll and employment taxes
  • Coordination of employee and manager training opportunities
  • Oversight of the Wellness and Safety Committees
  • Coordination of special programs (Employee Recognition, Benefits Fair, Employee Picnic, etc.)
