September 23, 2021:
Governor Inslee has extended the ban on evictions by one month, October 31, 2021, to give local jurisdictions more time to distribute rental assistance funding.
Beginning October 25, King County will require proof of vaccination or a negative test, to enter outdoor public events of 500 or more people, indoor entertainment, recreational establishments and events such as live music, performing arts, gyms, restaurants and bars. Learn more.
The Governor’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate makes full vaccination by October 18 a condition of employment for most state employees, health care workers, and workers in “education settings.” The mandate will impact certain city workers, including some in emergency or medical services, jails, and others. The state has also released guidance on vaccine exemptions that may help cities planning their own vaccine policies. Finally, a statewide mask mandate has been reimposed for public indoor settings regardless of vaccination status.
