Promoting Awareness Through Building Safety Month
During the month of May, the City of Bothell is participating in Building Safety Month (BSM), founded by the ICC (International Code Council). Building Safety Month is a public awareness campaign to help individuals, families and businesses understand what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures. The campaign reinforces the need for adoption of modern, model building codes, a strong and efficient system of code enforcement and a well-trained, professional workforce to maintain the system.
Our goal is to educate Bothell homeowners and business owners about:
what code officials' duties are and how to enter into the industry
building design solutions for seniors
preparing for natural disasters and
the beneficial impact technology has in the building industry.
