News and project updates

November 23, 2016

New tank in place

The contractor has completely removed the former water tank, which began serving the area in 1960.  The new structure is in place, but not yet functioning.

Project description

As part of the City's adopted Water Comprehensive Plan, we are replacing the existing potable water storage tank located in Penn Park to increase its storage capacity.  The new tank will be in the same location as the existing tank.  The estimated construction cost is $2.7M.

Public impacts

Penn Park is closed to users during construction. In the mean time, why not visit one of Bothell's other parks?

Schedule

Construction began in late March and should wrap up this December.
