Bothell Parks and Recreation Foundation

Founded in 2016, the Bothell Parks Foundation (BPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advocating for park and recreational activities in Bothell, WA.  Their primary goal is to be a voice for the people of Bothell, lending financial aid and rallying support for park projects that benefit our community.

How you can get involved

We want to bring in as many voices as we can when it comes to our parks, which is why the BPF is out in the community, raising awareness, and requesting feedback on parks and recreation activities that matter to you.

BPF works in collaboration, but separately from the City of Bothell Parks and Recreation Department to complete projects that will enhance our parks and general quality of life for residents and visitors of Bothell.

Are you interested in serving on the BPF board of directors?  Contact John Keates for more information or to express your interest.

Background

The City Parks and Recreation Department is facing both exciting and challenging times. Examples include:

  • the upcoming development of 1st Lt Nicholas Madrazo Park
  • Master Planning for the North Creek Forest
  • the possible acquisition of the Wayne Golf Course and the Shelton View Woods
  • renovating the Park at Bothell Landing
  • sustaining and developing recreation programs and special events, and
  • sustaining parks maintenance levels of service.

We’re hoping the Bothell Parks Foundation can be a large contributor to the future success of parks and recreation in Bothell.
