Earth Day Volunteering with Whale Scout 

Volunteer with Whale Scout at this Earth Day “Helpin’ Out” event to remove non-native vegetation in preparation for larger planting efforts along the Sammamish River and Waynita Creek. This will protect the fish and wildlife habitat and water quality for salmon. Registration required

Hosted by Whale Scout with support from City of Bothell, WDFW, NOAA Fisheries, and King County Wastewater Treatment Division

Earth Day Work Party at North Creek Forest 

Join Friends of North Creek Forest for an Earth Day work party! Tools and work gloves are provided. Tasks could include invasive species removal, spreading mulch, planting native species, watering young plants and more. Closed-toe shoes required, boots recommended. RSVP for the event.

Join Sno-King Watershed Council, in partnership with the City of Kenmore, for three Earth Day events ranging from habitat restoration to water monitoring to creating a salmon art project! All ages welcome. Volunteers under 18 must bring a parent or guardian. RSVP for the volunteer event(s).

Container Gardening Workshop: Create a Mini Herb Garden for Pollinators 

Bothell residents* can celebrate Earth Week by creating a mini herb garden in this hands-on workshop! The container garden you'll make during class will provide food for you and for local pollinators. While you’re creating, the yard and garden experts at Tilth Alliance will teach you about common Pacific Northwest pollinators and why they are so important for your edible garden. Space is limited and registration is required.
