WE willingly accept our obligation to serve the City of Bothell, our Department and the needs of our citizens. 

• As reported in the news lately, gun purchases and applications for concealed pistol licenses are up throughout the country and Bothell is no exception.  Bothell Police Department historically receives an average of 25-30 CPL applications each month, but from December 3, 2012 to January 4, 2013, the Records Unit processed 74 applications.  In addition, over the holidays the Records Unit was short staffed due to a Specialist being on maternity leave and other Specialists taking planned vacations.  During this time, the team in Records stepped up and processed this increase in CPL applications in a timely and efficient manner, while also maintaining the other work in Records.  This is yet another example of their DUTY to the Department and the citizens served.
