Rain Barrel Painting Workshop
Tuesday, August 9, 2022
Celebrate Sustainamania by painting a rain barrel with Snohomish Conservation District!
Barrels are free for Bothell residents, and we’ll have supplies (paints, stencils, etc.) so that you can create a work of art to take home that also conserves rainwater!
Things you need to know:
- This event is for Bothell residents only.
- You must stay and paint your barrel. This is a social event! Stick around and have fun with your family.
- There are 12 rain barrels available. Limit of 1 barrel per household. Reserve your barrel ahead of time so that we can set one aside for you. If you manage to snag a barrel, Snohomish Conservation District will send you a registration link so you can tell us how many children and adults you'll be bringing so we can ensure we have enough art supplies for everyone.
- Fill out your reservation request at https://bit.ly/rainbarrelpainting
What does a rain barrel do? Rain barrels collect rainwater from rooftops and help save you money! You can use this rainwater for watering plants, cleaning your car, and cutting back on your household water use. Learn more about rain barrels, including how to install and care for them. The rain barrels you'll be painting are made from upcycled containers and are provided through funding from King County's Waste Reduction and Recycling grant.
This event is part of our annual Sustainamania celebration, happening August 6 - 13. Check out the full lineup of Sustainamania activities!
