Responsibilities of the GIS Systems Section include Design, Implementation, and Maintenance of enterprise-wide mapping and spatial data analysis tools, mapping applications, and vendor application support.  Some day-to-day operations include:  address and street name assignments, zoning, land use, environmental critical areas data, water sewer and storm infrastructure maintenance.  GIS staff provides mapping and graphic support for all Departments and Divisions of the City, and assist the public and development community with GIS data questions and inquiries.
