[ARCHIVED] Main Street Enhancement Project update

Main Street construction

102nd Avenue intersection reconstruction work continues

Drivers should continue to expect delays through the week of March 19, weather-permitting, at the intersection of 102nd Avenue Northeast and Main Street for reconstruction. While crews work on each half of the intersection, north-south traffic on 102nd Avenue Northeast will continue to alternate using one lane through the intersection. Flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection on work days during the morning and evening peak hours. During off-peak hours, nights, and weekends, the temporary signal will be in operation. Only local access will be allowed along Main Street from 103rd Avenue Northeast to the Wells Fargo bank driveway. Main Street from 102nd Avenue Northeast to just west of the Wells Fargo bank driveway will remain closed.

101st & 102nd Avenue intersection crosswalk work planned

Starting the week of March 19 for about two weeks, crews will install crosswalk pavers in the 101st and 102nd intersections. Pedestrians will be routed around construction work. Flaggers will control the intersection as needed, with temporary one-way traffic through the intersection. This work will have less impact on traffic than the concrete work.

101st Avenue intersection open

The intersection of 101st Avenue Northeast and Main Street is open to traffic, except for the east side. The east leg of the intersection remains closed until the 102nd Avenue intersection reconstruction work is completed. Drivers should use caution through the intersection as temporary steel plates and asphalt patches cover areas until crosswalk pavers are installed. There may be intermittent traffic impacts as the contractor takes advantage of good weather to begin work on the pavers.
