Bothell Police arrested a lone suspect Sunday night, April 25 - in an incident that quickly turned into a homicide investigation in the 19000 block of 112th Ave NE, just west of Beardslee Blvd.
Just before 7:30pm, several calls came in to Bothell 911. Callers stated that a man had been stabbed. Our first officer at the scene arrived within moments of the first 911 calls. She immediately began life-saving procedures. Soon after, medics arrived at the scene.
Unfortunately, the 29-year-old-man's life could not be saved.
Additional Bothell Police officers arrived and were able to quickly locate the lone suspect and arrest him, without incident.
The 25 year old suspect remains in custody, and has been booked into the King County Jail. Bothell Police is not pursuing any other suspects.
UPDATE: 2:52pm Monday, 4/26: Bothell Police is continuing to investigate all possible motives. We understand that many people have questions and concerns. While there is very limited new information we can share at this time, we would like to assure our community that we are devoting all possible resources to this case, and take it very seriously.
Although there are many potential witnesses -- at this time, it is not possible for us to answer the very important questions about why this happened. We understand that many in the community we serve - have concerns and a lot of questions. We want to assure you that we are continuing to investigate all possible motives, and take this case very seriously. We are devoting all available resources to this investigation.
To date, we have identified 10 witnesses and anticipate many others could be identified in the coming days. It is very important that our investigators take this time to locate and listen to all people with information, and examine all evidence.
We appreciate your patience, and we appreciate the cooperation of the many witnesses who remained near the scene, so they could assist officers with this homicide investigation.
