Are you coming to the Friday, August 13 Summer Concert at the City Hall Plaza?  Bring school supplies to donate to the Northshore Schools Foundation "Backpacks for Kids" drive!

Look for the red bins and Bothell Police - collecting school-supply donations from 5-7p.m.

Friday, August 13 is the last day of this important back-to-school supply drive.  This is a great opportunity to save a trip, and bring your donations to the summer concert!

We believe (and we know you agree) that every child deserves to start the school year with basic school supplies.

That's why our officers and Bothell Police staffers have purchased several new, sturdy backpacks and many school supplies for this important drive, benefitting local kids.

Are you able to join us in supporting this great cause?  If you can't make it to the summer concert,  red donation bins will also be in the Bothell Police Department Lobby, every day through Friday, August 13.

The items most needed by students: gift tag says

  • new, sturdy backpacks
  • fine-tip markers
  • colored pencils
  • blue and red pens
  • glue sticks
  • erasers
  • pencils
  • crayons
  • children's scissors

Did you know outdoor, live music sounds even sweeter - after you've stepped up to help a local child?  We're still working on the scientific evidence, but we're pretty sure it's true.

What we know for sure:  When children have their own school supplies, they feel better about going to school.

So, come and enjoy the music on Friday, August 13 at the City Hall Plaza and do something else that will make you feel really good:  Help a local child start the school year right!
