[ARCHIVED] Bothell Police Investigate Homicide Linked to Domestic Violence, Suspect in Custody

The Bothell Police Department is investigating a homicide resulting from domestic violence and physical assault.

The lone suspect, a 35-year-old man has been arrested and is in custody, following the death of his 72-year-old father at their home in the 3200 block of 211th Street SE.

On June 3, at 6:08am Bothell Police dispatchers received a call from a neighbor.  Police and Fire units responded on reports that a man was injured, after his adult son physically assaulted him, hitting him with an object.

When first responders arrived,  the 72-year-old man was not responsive or breathing.  It was determined the victim was deceased prior to the officers  arrival.

The suspect was immediately arrested, without incident, and taken into custody. The suspect will be booked in the Snohomish County Jail.

This is an ongoing homicide investigation and there is no further risk to the community.
