COVID-19

City of Bothell staff continue to work closely with King County Public Health and Snohomish Health District to monitor the COVID-19 (Coronvavirus) outbreak. City staff are meeting regularly to streamline communication and prepare for changing conditions here in our community. Our first responders are following a number of safety protocols including wearing appropriate protective equipment and taking extra care when entering homes and treating patients or interacting with community members. We are also doing public health outreach with our elderly and vulnerable communities. Public Health is asking all of us to:

  • Wash hands with soap and water. If not available, use hand sanitizer
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick
  • Cover your nose/mouth with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing
  • Increase personal distance and stay home if you feel sick
  • If you think you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please contact your primary care provider. You can also call the Washington State Department of Health hotline at: 1-800-525-0127.
  • Please only call 911 if you have a life-threatening emergency.

Open House Canceled
As we see the community adjust to public health recommendations, we know that many of you are increasing your social distance from others and avoiding large groups of people.  We have decided to cancel our Block D Open House scheduled for March 10th.  Stay tuned for more information on how you can still weigh in!
Bring Your Own Bag

Help us celebrate by bringing your own bags to the store and recycling right. Starting on Earth Day, single-use plastic carryout bags will no longer be available at store checkout. Shoppers will need to bring their own reusable bags or pay 10 cents per paper bag. Make sure you are recycling your remaining plastic bags correctly by returning them for store drop-off instead of tossing them in your recycling containers. Find drop-off locations and learn more about the ordinance at bothellwa.gov/reduceplastic.

Natural Yard Care Workshops

Whether you’re a beginning gardener wanting to learn the basics or if you’re already well-acquainted with your yard and want to dig into more advanced topics, Natural Yard Care offers something for everyone. Sign up for one, two, or all three of our April workshops at bothellwa.gov/nycworkshops.

NE 188th St

Do you use NE 188th St between 92nd Ave NE and Pop Keeney Stadium? Current construction on NE 188th St will result in road closures in upcoming months.  Learn more about traffic impacts for this particular project and others on our Traffic Alerts & Road Construction page.

Property Tax 101

Did you know the City of Bothell only receives a portion of your property taxes? Most of your taxes go to the Northshore School District, King or Snohomish Counties, the State, and other taxing jurisdictions like the library, hospital, and Sound Transit. If you are a senior citizen, disabled, or own your home but have limited income, you may qualify for property tax relief programs. Learn more at bothellwa.gov/propertytax

2020 Census

2020 Census Day is April 1st - less than a month away! You should see an invitation in your mailbox this month. Completing the census is very important to our community, as it impacts federal funding for many community, health, senior, and school programs. It is also important for congressional and state legislative district representation. If you need assistance, more information or have questions, visit kingcounty.gov/census
