Domestic Violence Resources

Domestic Violence Resources

We have been monitoring our domestic violence calls and requests for services and have not seen any strong trends during these last few months. But, many issues often go unreported. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing physical, mental, or emotional abuse, please seek help. Call or text 911 for emergencies. You can also call our domestic violence advocate (425-806-6226) or check out this full list of resource agencies, handouts in multiple languages, and info on protection orders.

Plastic Bags

Plastic Bag Restrictions Rescheduled to 2021

Washington State recently passed legislation to restrict single-use plastic bags starting January 1, 2021. Due to recent COVID-19 concerns, Bothell is postponing the starting date for plastic bag restrictions and will be joining the state in 2021. Customers will be able to bring their own bags or pay $0.08 for each paper bag or reusable plastic bag. Learn more

Prevent Legionella

Safely Resume Water Systems

Has your building been closed or had limited access during COVID-19?  The WA State Department of Health recently issued guidance to reduce Legionella growth and other pathogen and corrosion concerns that occur when there is a large drop in building water use. Before resuming water use, learn how to safely start up building water systems.

King County Masks

State, County and Local COVID Updates

Earlier this month Governor Jay Inslee announced four phases for reopening the state and extended the "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order to May 31.

The City of Bothell has canceled all May Board and Commission meetings. The parking lots at Blyth, Cedar Grove, and Centennial Parks are now open and the North Creek Sportsfields have been partially reopened for drop in/incidental use only. All city parks and trails are open at this time, but park restrooms, playgrounds/equipment, and sport courts remain closed.

Starting May 18, King County Public Health is directing community members to wear face coverings in any indoor or outdoor public space where you may be within six feet of someone who does not live with you. Learn more at: kingcounty.gov/masks

For those in North Bothell, cloth face coverings are strongly recommended by the Snohomish Health District, who advises they should be worn when away from home and out in public, when using transit, or in commercial and retail settings.
