MLK Day of Service
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

This January 18th, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service will look different than in years past. Because of COVID-19, we will not be holding a large-scale volunteer event. Instead, we’re working with volunteer coordinators throughout the region to share other ways you can safely celebrate this meaningful day in an impactful way.

Join us January 28th from 7-8 p.m. to meet fellow pet owners, show off your new four-legged friend, and to learn about pet emergency preparedness. When it comes to our animals, the best way to keep them safe during a disaster is to have a plan, stay informed, and build a kit.

When they get covered with heavy snow, ice, leaves, and other debris, there’s no place for rain and melting snow to go. If it’s safe to do so, use a shovel to clear snow and ice off the storm drain grates on your street.
