Pop-up Dog Park Returning This Summer

The Pop-up Dog Park is returning to the Park at Bothell Landing for the summer and will open soon. The Pop-up Dog Park series was created in response to growing demand for accessible, safe, and clean spaces for pets and their owners to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Online Services – Input by June 19
We are currently reimagining what city services look like post-Covid, having learned that many of you prefer convenient online services and the option to attend meetings virtually. Let us know what you think about all of our online tools and applications and inform our Technology Strategic Plan.

June 21 – 27 is Pollinator Week!

Pollinators like bees, butterflies, and bats provide one out of every three bites of food we eat! You can show appreciation for these hard workers by planting native plants, skipping the yard chemicals, supporting local farmers, and teaching others about the importance of pollinators. June is National Pet Preparedness Month! Make sure to include your pets in your family emergency plan. Make a Plan, Build a Kit, Stay Informed!

Phone Scam Warning

Bothell Police is investigating recent phone calls to residents from suspected scammers claiming to be with Bothell Police. Bothell Police will never call and demand that you make a payment over the phone, or share sensitive identity information. Education is your best protection against these increasingly sophisticated scams.

Know the Water, Know Your Limits

Splash into summer safely Bothell! Many of Washington’s rivers, lakes and ponds are still cold in early summer months and can cause hypothermia. Know the water, swim in lifeguarded areas and wear a properly fitting life jacket. Never dive into unfamiliar waters and watch children closely when they are swimming.

Wastemobile

The Wastemobile will be in Bothell at UW Bothell on June 25, 26, and 27 from 10 am – 5 pm daily. Safely dispose of household hazardous waste products like pesticides, batteries, automobile products, propane tanks, cleaning products, and oil-based paint free of charge.

How do you care for your yard?

If you’re a Bothell resident and you missed the series of online Natural Yard Care workshops we held in spring, we want to hear from you! Please take our brief survey by June 30 to help us understand how you care for your yard. Your responses are confidential and you can opt to enter a drawing for a book about no-waste organic gardening.

The Fourth of July is only a few weeks away! If you choose to use fireworks this year, remember, they can only be discharged in Bothell on July Fourth between 9am-11pm. If you choose to use fireworks, please do so safely and check out reminders here.
