The City of Bothell is accepting applications from qualified businesses to participate in a new Pop-Up Retail Incubator Program. Learn more and apply by July 25th at www.mercycorpsnw.org/bothellpopup. Bothell City Council recently approved the program to support the creation of new small businesses and provide more opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses. Funded in part by a Port of Seattle Economic Development Partnership grant, the City has also partnered with Mercy Corps Northwest to deliver this program. Mercy Corps Northwest is a global organization dedicated to transforming lives and creating lasting change, and will serve as the City’s training and financial support partner.
Entrepreneurs and home-based businesses often face many barriers in launching a brick and mortar business. The program will offer resources, microfinancing, mentoring and education?to minority and woman-owned small?businesses to?help them learn about the market, improve their business skills, and generate revenue.
In addition to these resources, selected entrepreneur businesses will be offered low-cost retail space in repurposed garden sheds right in the heart of downtown Bothell next to City Hall.
