Help Discourage Car Prowlers:
Lock Doors, Remove Valuables

Bothell Police 911 Dispatchers want to remind all residents to lock vehicle doors and remove all shopping bags, backpacks, purses and valuables. There have been over 30 reports of car prowls and thefts from vehicles in Bothell since the start of October, mirroring trends in neighboring communities. When a car is locked and looks bare of any personal items, many prowlers will move along. Let’s make this season no fun for thieves!

Prevent Frozen Pipes

As temperatures start to dip, we encourage you to take these steps to prevent frozen pipes - install foam faucet covers to protect outdoor spigots, insulate your pipes, and open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to let warmer air circulate around the plumbing.

Candle With Care

December is the peak month for candle fires. Three out of every five candle fires start when burnable objects are too close to a candle. This holiday season, we encourage you to opt for flameless, battery-operated candles. If you do light traditional candles in your home, keep them 12 inches away from anything that can burn, use sturdy candle holders and always blow candles out before leaving the room.
