National Preparedness Month

Are you prepared for emergencies?

September is National Preparedness Month. It’s a good time to assemble or refresh your emergency supplies, make sure you have a family communication plan, and get ready for fall and winter storms. Take a step today!

Take the North Creek Forest survey

Help shape the future of North Creek Forest, a 65-acre urban forest preserved as part of Bothell's park network, by taking a survey by Sept. 20 or attending an open house this fall. Check the City events calendar soon for more information.
The master planning process for the forest is underway, identifying potential forest activities and determining how to open the forest up to the public while still protecting its valuable habitat.

Flexible new travel options

We’ve partnered with King County Metro to help you save time, money and be good to our environment. Go where you want, when you want with a whole suite of travel options, including many new ones for the Bothell-Woodinville area like TripPool, Community Van, and, Real-Time Rideshare. We are currently recruiting volunteer drivers for both TripPool and Community Van. Learn more and get a free tote bag and travel map.

Free water testing for lead

Would you like to have your home's water tested for lead -- for free? There is no lead in Bothell's water supply, but older homes with copper pipes may still have issues with lead or copper in the water. If you live in the 98011 zip code in a home built between 1982 and 1986, you are eligible for this FREE program. Interested? Contact Ted or get more information

From arts to Zumba, it's in the Bridge

Check your mailbox or online for the fall edition of the Bothell Bridge, the quarterly magazine with Parks and Recreation classes, City news, Green Living and more. There’s something for everyone, from art classes (Design your own Superhero!) to Yoga and Zumba. This edition also features updates on:

  • Safe Streets & Sidewalks
  • $50K in tourism grants
  • Wayne/Sammamish Regional Park

Improving your streets

Watch for lane closures and crews working through September, repairing pavement and paving select roadways throughout Bothell. This effort is made possible by the Safe Streets and Sidewalks Levy, passed last November.

New online records management tool

The City of Bothell has a new online search tool to make it easier for the public to find information and reduce the need to fill out public records requests. The new public records management portal launched last week. It makes it easier to search for documents and fill out a public records request online

Just Kidding Around a success

With more than 700 people in attendance over the course of three weeks, Parks & Recreation’s first ever “Just Kidding Around” concert series was a huge hit!  Each show featured one of the Seattle area’s premiere “kindie” bands, and drew kids of all ages to the Park at Bothell Landing for a rocking good time.  We can’t wait to do it again in 2018!

Storefront Studio book now available

The work of the UW Storefront Studio’s project in Bothell has now been published in book form. The studio produced a wide range of ideas for improvements to Downtown Bothell, from modest façade improvements to ambitious public infrastructure proposals. You can buy the book online or download a free PDF. Hardcopies will be made available at the City Hall.
