Main Street update

Due to delays in obtaining construction materials and underground utility work that took longer than the contractor anticipated, the Main Street Enhancement project will not be completed before Thanksgiving, as originally hoped.

The City’s goals are to keep access to businesses open and traffic moving while allowing construction to proceed as quickly as possible. The contractor submitted a draft schedule update showing a completion date in February. We are looking at various options to get it done sooner, including allowing the contractor to work weekends. We are working with the Main Street business community and the contractor to see what options might work best. The most significant impact is on the second block, between 101st and 102nd avenues.

Thank you for your patience during construction. More information...
