Share Your Thoughts on Parks & Recreation in Bothell!

As we update our Parks, Recreation & Open Space Plan (PROS), please help us with our first phase, which is learning what you think we are doing right and what amenities or programs you would like to see from your Parks & Recreation Department!

You can help us by taking an online survey at www.bothellwa.gov/PROS and clicking on the blue banner.  You may also receive a paper copy in the mail - a small group was randomly selected - and we ask that you only complete the survey once.  Maybe you prefer to tell us your thoughts in person -- come speak with us during various public events:  the Historical Society Lecture on June 20 at the Bothell Library, the Friday Market at Beardless Place on July 12 and August 9, Music in the Park on July 26 and a few more.  Please see the full schedule at www.bothellwa.gov/PROS.

The second phase, coming this autumn, will be setting project priorities from the survey outcomes including reviewing funding sources.  Look for more information in future e-News updates!

Celebrate our local pollinators and say thanks by planting native plants, supporting local farmers, and educating others about the importance of pollinators. Learn more about supporting pollinators at www.bothellwa.gov/pollinators.

StoryWalk: “The Bear’s Song”
by Benjamin Chaud

June 28-July 15

PopUp StoryWalk is a local program promoting literacy, health, and art appreciation using deconstructed children’s storybooks installed in outdoor community spaces. Begin a children’s story at the start of a trail, read posted pages along the way, and end the trial as you end the book. PopUp StoryWalk rotates between book selections, inspiring families to follow the installations and experience a featured book in a new location. You can enjoy a new outdoor adventure with each PopUp Storywalk installation! Get Outdoors! Get Reading! Please see website for more information.
