National Preparedness Month

Imagine you are at work or at home and your child is at school or on a playdate when a disaster strikes. Do they know what to do if you are not around?

September is National Preparedness Month and we encourage you to “Be Prepared, Not Scared!”

Wastemobile Sept 13 to Sept 15 at Seattle Times Building in Bothell

The Wastemobile is back for two final events in 2019! Stop by The Seattle Times Building Sept. 13 – 15 and Oct. 18 – 20 to safely dispose of your household hazardous waste. Community shred event, Sept 14, 10 am to 1 pm, Bothell

Have sensitive documents to dispose?

Don’t miss the Community Shred Event on Sat, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Evergreen Church parking lot (3429 240th St. SE Bothell, WA 98021). City of Bothell residents can drop off three paper grocery bags or two file/copy boxes of documents for secure shredding, non-perishable food donations for a local food bank, clean and dry Styrofoam, and bagged plastic bags for recycling. Times are strict; no drop offs before or after the event will be accepted. 
Also, event attendees will not be able to watch material be shredded. You will drop off items in bin and bins will be transported to the shred truck for shredding by event staff.

Recycling Collection Event

If you have large appliances, scrap metal, clean wood, or other special items that need to be recycled, pick up a voucher for our annual Recycling Collection Event now through Nov. 1 at The Recology Store. City of Bothell residents can request up to two vouchers per year, eligible for use at the Shoreline Recycling and Transfer Station. Visit www.bothellwa.gov/recycleevent for details..


Pet Parade September 15

Pop-up Dog Park Extension

Get your costumes ready and join us for a Pet Parade at Park at Bothell Landing this Sunday, September 15, from 11:00am-1:00pm. Event will be held, rain or shine! Registration and more info at bit.ly/PetParade19.


Thanks to our community's feedback, the Pop-up Dog Park at Park at Bothell Landing will remain open until Tuesday, October 15, with a new Pop-up Dog Park opening at the City Hall campus in mid-November. The Parks and Recreation Department will also be taking community feedback to Council this fall as part of the PROS (Parks Recreation Open Space) process for further direction on this popular park amenity.

New Utility Billing System for City of Bothell Water & Sewer Accounts 

If you are a current water and sewer customer, you should have received a blue mailer in July with your new account number and customer identification number.  Customers who use automated banking must update their banking information with the new City of Bothell Water and Sewer account number-customer ID combination for payments to apply correctly to their account in the new utility billing system. 

Customers will notice a new look to their bills mailed at the end of September for July and August service. More information about Utility Billing is available at www.bothellwa.gov/utilitybilling
