Bothell Needs a Community Center

It is an exciting time in Bothell as our downtown revitalization is moving forward. New businesses, park development, street improvements and unique housing will create a vibrant city core. I believe however, we’re missing one key element: a state of the art community center for all to enjoy.
This past summer, my family visited the new Kroc Community Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (www.kroccda.org/facilities). What a phenomenal facility with swimming pools, gymnasiums, current fitness facilities, climbing rock, indoor playground, dance studio, arts & crafts areas designed for the entire family as well as individual age groups. My thought after seeing this spectacular facility was, with a lot of hard work and creative thinking, why couldn’t we have something like this in Bothell? Read more...
